Ange Vierge

(Last Updated On: May 10, 2017)

The story of the card game follows what happens when “Hairou” portals suddenly open, fusing five different worlds together. As a result, various mysterious “Exceed” powers are awakened in teenaged girls. An academy for these so-called “Progress” girls is built on the isolated Seiran Island in the Pacific. – My Anime List

Why I liked this anime: Because I saw myself in all the main character (especially in Saya and Amane).

It might sound like I didn’t like Ange Vierge at all, but that isn’t exactly true. It isn’t a bad show, just an underwhelming one. The “fantasy worlds collide” premise has a lot of potential, as does the diverse cast of characters, but they just aren’t capitalized on here. Likewise, the show’s card game roots are present enough to be conspicuous, but aren’t integrated enough to effectively advertise the actual card game. Even the crowd looking for some simple anime cheesecake get ripped off, since all of the nudity is censored to the point of being completely ineffective. If you have the cravings for a very traditional, very predictable romp in a familiar science-fantasy premise, Ange Vierge might do just enough to hold your interest. Otherwise, you’re better off leaving this particular game on the shelf where you found it.

If you tired about generic male tennagers protagonists, probably you need to watch this, this is a world of yuri, its a world of girls, ramiel are lovable, the unique thing who im not liked its the opening like history channel intro, thats ugly, but the anime operning its awesome, the good thing its when the girls going to the bath dont have problem to stay naked 😉 ange vierge its one of the best anime full-girls anime i have seen,if you dont put a generic teenager boy at the protagonist, and you put a girls with a lot of yuri, you get awesome results like this, please japan, make more of this!

Ange Vierge is a moe anime. The anime is based on a card game. Its like a combination between date a live and Selector Infected WIXOSS. There was lots of action and drama. The characters abilities and powers were interesting. What I liked most is the idea of different world and how they made it seem like each character came out from one. The overall plot was a bit boring though I mean its about C class Heroes trying to overcome SSS Heroes. Personally I find that to be boring. The anime did contain a sum amount of Girls Love which seemed a bit all over the place. Ange Vierge was enjoyable, however it wasn’t great.

Story is standard repackaged mahou bushojo/yuri ecci fantasy. Why the monsters look like mushrooms is beyond me though, I found it comical. Va, graphics, audio, themes, all pretty standard.
