Life in the bustling city of Orario is never dull, especially for Bell Cranel, a naïve young man who hopes to become the greatest adventurer in the land. After a chance encounter with the lonely goddess, Hestia, his dreams become a little closer to reality. With her support, Bell embarks on a fantastic quest as he ventures deep within the city’s monster-filled catacombs, known only as the “Dungeon.” Death lurks around every corner in the cavernous depths of this terrifying labyrinth, and a mysterious power moves amidst the shadows.
Even on the surface, survival is a hard-earned privilege. Indeed, nothing is ever certain in a world where gods and humans live and work together, especially when they often struggle to get along. One thing is for sure, though: a myriad of blunders, triumphs and friendships awaits the dauntlessly optimistic protagonist of this herculean tale. – My Anime List

I probably would of watched this show anyways just for the pretense that the title creates but now having seen it I will be waiting more than a little impatiently each week for the new episode! Much love.
Stuff And That
It’s very good and I highly recommend watching it. Its fight scenes, protagonist and generally the whole design is genuinely amazing. It also ends on a cliff hanger type thingy, but don’t get your hopes up. DanMachi is awesome, but it hasn’t got the attention it’s needed, and although I love it, it is a bit flawed, with its small amount of back stories, its kinda generic art style (which don’t look bad though) and sorta flat villain particularly. But I don’t really care about that stuff much and for now, if you’re an anime lover, you should definitely watch this if you haven’t already. I really hope there’ll be a second series.
I could spend some digital ink talking about the production values, but I also see no point doing that if the actual show is so painfully uninteresting. No amount of pretty colors and nice sounds can make up for a crappy script or a stereotypical roster of meh characters. It’s ok looking and sounding if that is what you only care about in your power fantasies. But that is all it is.
Whatever transgressions this show has done, it easily overcomes them through its positive qualities. DanMachi is, in short, a ridiculously charming show.
Overall Is it Wrong to Try to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon? pleasantly surprised me. I went into this anime thinking it was going be just another ecchi/harem anime but even though the ecchi elements still somewhat remain, the series shifts towards Bell becoming what he really truly wants, a hero. I would highly recommend this to fans of fantasy and comedy anime show’s especially, but it is a good anime for anybody to enjoy so if you are curious for something to watch, you can’t go wrong with Is it Wrong to Try to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon?.
My Anime List
Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon? I still don’t know and I don’t know if I want to hang around longer to find out the answer.
There’s a lot to like about this show. It has humour, action, a good plot, interesting characters and great animation. I only scored it a 7 because it’s a bit ‘young’ for my taste (I’d have liked a darker, more serious tone) and at one season, it does seem a little pointless. I’d like to see a 2nd season to flesh things out more. Worth a watch.
Its worst transgression was its inability to properly utilize any subplot. The show has its fair share of charm and “assets”, enough that it would entertain most viewers to the end. Here’s hoping it gets a second season, and hoping even more so that the second season is better at handling it’s subplots.
Definitely a fun little show. We do wish they had just used d20 stats, as that is legally allowed, but with homemade stats you can fiddle the knobs and get the cheesy ridiculousness we love in anime.

Very cute and beautiful characters, but little substance.
