Everyone seems to be ignoring this, but it was one of my favorite shows of the season.

A mecha series with visuals this good should be a good enough gamble in the English-speaking markets to be worth a dub. It also has the unfortunate side effect of ending this block of episodes on one hell of a cliffhanger. Still, as mecha series go, this one is off to a pretty entertaining start.

Where this series shines is in some of the character’s relationships and tensions with their family and with each other. Some of the main characters are one-dimensional, but a handful of them are compelling enough to draw you into their struggles, making you cheer for them when they overcome a particular issue, and feeling for them when they are put down.

Long story short i recommend watching this series. I do hope to get another season, the ending really suggested a sequel but in the end who has the money gets screen time. I sincerely hope Kuromukuro gets the popularity it deserves and continues to entertain us

This is a show you save for a rainy day when you have nothing else to watch; it won’t fail you, but it’s ultimately a bit forgettable. You could do a lot worse. So congrats(?) Kuromukuro, you managed to draw the line in the sand that indicates what I’d consider to be the bottom line for an acceptable, tolerable, watchable show.
