Prince Of Stride: Alternative

(Last Updated On: February 16, 2017)

“Stride”—an extreme sport that combines parkour, free running, relay, and sprinting—is what made first year high school student Nana Sakurai enroll in Honan Academy, after being captivated by the school’s stride team. Sharing the mutual intention of joining the team is fellow first year and stride maniac, Takeru Fujiwara, and together they request to join. Much to their dismay, however, the stride club is no longer active due to lack of members, and they are now operating under the shogi club.

In order to revive the stride club, Nana and Takeru recruit first year Riku Yagami—a fast runner who is interested in almost every sport. With this new team, the club now aims high at a new goal: to win the prestigious End of Summer competition, and bring the Honan stride team back to their prime. – My Anime List

A good spring anime based around free running with great character development. No exactly gender inclusive, but still entertaining.

If you are into extreme sports like parkour or free-running, this could be the anime for you. It is action-packed and filled with various kinds of emotions. The plot is well portrayed, although the pacing can be a bit rushed. The best part is definitely the characters whom are very motivational to watch. If you’re the type that gets inspired to learn a new sport after watching sports anime, this one will definitely get you running!

Prince of Stride is a good anime. It may not be the best of the season, it may not be even in my top 5 of the season, but it was enjoyable. I had a good time watching this show and came out satisfied in the end. It’s not anything special, nor is it thought provoking. Yet was a good anime and a breath of fresh air. And these type of anime are important. That is why I will remember Prince of Stride and recommend everyone to watch it.

The best news about this otome game adaption was that it was better than Dance with Devils was and ever will be. However, I do think there were some parts where this series managed to hold back itself from being great, and had a few hurdles in its path that it could clear. Other than that though, I’d say this was a pretty good series despite its issues, and I found myself enjoying some things about it.

One aspect I did enjoy was the soundtrack. It got me pumped up for the races and fit well with the artstyle. I’ll be looking forward to the ost release.

this is one of the anime that you watch when you’re bored. It’s only 12 episodes long so you’re quickly done in a day when you really have nothing to do haha

Not forget to mention: the dudes are indeed hot (for those who watch for the “plot” like me HAHAHA)

There’s a lot to dislike here. But, as long as that list is, all of the items on it are so petty and inconsequential, and the one good thing it has going for it leaves such a stronger impression, it’s easy to think of this show as good. I might recommend that others check it out, though I’d never suggest dropping everything for it.

After watching ‘Free!’ and ‘Haikyuu!!’, it really cannot compare. It doesn’t have nearly as many of those small, funny and memorable moments, and because we are not particularly connected to the characters, we don’t feel as much for their losses or victories.
