Wagamama High Spec

(Last Updated On: March 9, 2017)

Even though he’s just a student, the protagonist in Wagamama High Spec also happens to be the author of a manga published in a weekly magazine. Since it’s mainly an ecchi and romcom type of story, he is actually hiding this fact from most people around him. The only people that know are his younger sister and his best friend. But then on one day, the student council president happens to find out his secret, just as she was actually looking for a male member to include in the student council. Afraid of having his secret exposed, our protagonist joins the student council under the promise of his secret staying safe. – My Anime List

It’s a pretty weak three star rating, but the show had some guts and some funny moments, so here’s my olive branch.

Overall an OK way to pass a few minutes although I expect it will be quickly forgotten.

Overall, Wagamama High Spec isn’t a good anime at all, not to mention an unfaithful adaptation (as far as even someone who hasn’t played the visual novel yet can tell). If you want to see how an adaptation can go so terribly wrong, watch this. Well, here’s to hoping I don’t see anymore Unappearing Protagonist-kuns!

This is an anime short with a ton of fanservice and eye candy that has the occasional chuckle. Will the story (yeah, hard to believe) actually be presented well is hard to say. Voice acting is off and does not sync well with the animation. Animation-wise, it is well done and deserves some recognition.

Unless you want to play the VN or unless you absolutely have nothing to watch, I’d skip out on this teaser; there’s just so much better stuff out there than this.
